Position Overview:

We seek a Vice President of Operations (VPO) or Operations Manager to lead and oversee bridge, railroad, marine, and civil construction projects based in St. Louis, MO. This role offers a remote/hybrid work arrangement and allows candidates to tailor responsibilities to their strengths and expertise.

• Lead multi‑state construction project operations for an employee‑owned contracting firm, managing personnel and project execution.
• Oversee projects typically ranging from $5M to $50M+, ensuring efficiency, quality, and financial success.
• Customize the role's structure to align with individual leadership strengths and strategic vision.
• Provide strong leadership, administrative oversight, and operations management to drive company growth and performance.
• Foster team‑building and collaboration across projects and departments.

• Stable job history demonstrating reliability and success in construction operations leadership.
• Extensive experience in bridge, railroad, marine, and civil construction project management.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale infrastructure projects with strategic oversight and operational excellence.
• Ideally, senior executive experience in construction management, though high‑performing emerging leaders ready to advance their careers will also be considered.
