As a Consulting Director, Land Services, your leadership will ensure clients navigate complex land rights, permitting, and compliance challenges, enabling critical infrastructure and renewable projects to succeed.

  • Drive business growth by developing and expanding client relationships in the Power, Renewables, and Energy sectors.
  • Lead negotiations for land rights, acquisitions, and easements that enable major capital projects.
  • Shape ERM’s strategic direction and contribute to thought leadership in sustainability consulting.
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing team, fostering the next generation of industry leaders.
  • Deliver innovative solutions that help clients meet regulatory, environmental, and community expectations.
What You’ll Bring Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (15+ years preferred) in land services or related consulting.
  • Proven success in the renewable energy and/or utility industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills for complex property and land agreements.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
Preferred
  • Deep knowledge of renewable energy, gas, and electric utility sectors.
  • Familiarity with courthouse record-keeping and title research.
  • Understanding of property rights, eminent domain, and state/local ownership laws.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to win new business and grow revenue.
  • Negotiate and secure land agreements, rights-of-way, leases, and fee purchases.
  • Oversee title research, land valuation studies, and permitting processes.
  • Lead consulting engagements in impact assessment and compliance.
  • Build and manage a high-performance team of land agents and consultants.
  • Collaborate with ERM Partners and global experts to deliver world-class solutions.
  • Ensure projects meet health & safety, financial, and regulatory standards.
Compensation

For the Consulting Director, Land Services position, the anticipated annual base pay is $136,518 – $189,000 (USD). Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
