Job Description Director of Distribution Center Operations

Ronnoco Coffee, the Midwest's leading supplier of specialty coffee, is looking for a Director of Distribution Center Operations to lead our distribution center teams at our main location in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities:

• Set overall vision for company distribution strategies and act as company expert for warehouse management operations.
• Establish, deliver, and monitor key distribution results and metrics
• Manage team expectations and plan, monitor, and appraise work performance while providing coaching and discipline for employees
• Manage onboarding process to ensure a successful and smooth new hire transition
• Manage ongoing employee training
• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures
• Manage inventory control systems - cycle counting, inventory adjustments, proper use of WMS systems - to keep inventory variation to a minimum
• Sole owner of inventory management processes
• Develop and manage warehouse operating budget and present cost-effective updates to operation
• Oversee scheduling, establish priorities, monitor progress, revise schedules, resolve problems, and report results
• Lead daily and monthly meetings with team to provide direction and communicate results; visibly publish and maintain all key results
• Maintain meticulous results and personnel records
• Publish, analyze and act on short fill orders to maintain a 98.5% fill rate and communicate product shortages as necessary
• Manage shipping and receiving including in and outbound freight for the company, utilizing best value carriers as dictated by freight agreements
• Act as primary owner of the distribution center physical space, including ensuring building is open each day and locked and alarmed each evening.
• Operate and preventively maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Proven working experience in warehouse operations
• Proven leadership ability of 10-20 direct reports
• Proficiency in inventory software, databases and systems with ability to master
• Demonstrated proficiency with modern warehousing practices and methods
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Class "E" license preferred but not required
• Ability to multi-task required
• Ability to work individually and as part of the team
