Overview

The Safety Manager oversees the overall safety, compliance, and training programs across the entire facility. This role ensures a safe and efficient environment for employees, customers, and operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to fostering a strong culture of safety.

Principal

Job Duties
  • Possess and exhibit a “People First” – “How can I help” attitude.
  • Ensure staff follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train team members on safety best practices and daily activities.
  • Establish performance standards and recommend procedural improvements when necessary.
  • Enforce company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor logs, conduct audits, and complete reporting to ensure compliance.
  • Coach employees on safety concerns and corrective actions.
  • Oversee facility‑wide safety inspections, equipment checks, and maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate with vendors and departments on repairs, inspections, and safety initiatives.
  • Conduct spot checks and periodic trainings.
  • Track and report corporate safety initiatives, training completion, and incident trends.
  • Support operational efficiency through collaboration with other departments.
  • Resolve safety‑related concerns promptly with a customer‑first approach.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Skills
  • Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficient in scheduling tools, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and teambuilding.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions (heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.).
