Overview
The Safety Manager oversees the overall safety, compliance, and training programs across the entire facility. This role ensures a safe and efficient environment for employees, customers, and operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to fostering a strong culture of safety.
PrincipalJob Duties
- Possess and exhibit a “People First” – “How can I help” attitude.
- Ensure staff follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise, mentor, and train team members on safety best practices and daily activities.
- Establish performance standards and recommend procedural improvements when necessary.
- Enforce company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor logs, conduct audits, and complete reporting to ensure compliance.
- Coach employees on safety concerns and corrective actions.
- Oversee facility‑wide safety inspections, equipment checks, and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with vendors and departments on repairs, inspections, and safety initiatives.
- Conduct spot checks and periodic trainings.
- Track and report corporate safety initiatives, training completion, and incident trends.
- Support operational efficiency through collaboration with other departments.
- Resolve safety‑related concerns promptly with a customer‑first approach.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
Skills- Supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficient in scheduling tools, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and teambuilding.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
- Willingness to work in various environmental conditions (heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.).
