Position Description Summary

Jacobsen|Daniels is seeking a Project Manager with demonstrated project management, terminal/landside planning, design and/or construction experience to support a variety of projects for Jacobsen|Daniels’ clients. Candidates should be self-motivated critical thinkers and have the capacity to work within a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates will be capable of working individually and in team environments. Strong oral communication skills, including the capability to understand and follow oral and written communication, are also required.

Role Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for executing, managing, and successfully delivering creative solutions for a range of projects within the Jacobsen|Daniels portfolio. This position is expected to champion corporate values and assist in promoting a culture of high expectations and performance. With possible supervisory responsibilities, the role regularly interfaces with staff, executive level management, client personnel, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overall terminal and landside planning, design support, and coordination with internal and external project teams.
  • Deliver projects on time, on budget, and to mutually agreed expectations.
  • Facilitate involvement of the project’s key stakeholders at appropriate levels and times.
  • Support team and client’s project administrative needs.
  • Contribute to the development of processes and tools that facilitate consistency and quality execution across airport planning and design support projects within the portfolio.
  • Interface directly with clients to define project requirements; prepares scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimate & budget, work plan schedule & milestones, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Track progress of each project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines. Report status and variances. Create action plans to meet objectives, budget, and schedule.
  • Support change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, identify action plans/tasks, and follow up with stakeholders to ensure success of project processes. Monitor project progress to determine risks to scope, budget, schedule, and work quality.
  • Provide technical services related to space programming, concessions programs, landside planning, forecasting of facility requirements, alternatives development, technical drawing development in AutoCAD and BIM environments.
  • Manage staff/resources to perform technical analyses to meet scopes of work and provide QA/QC of work products.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Liaise with governing authorities and regulatory agencies.
  • Establish and maintain project reporting procedures.
  • Support all facets of project close-out.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Vice President.
Qualifications
  • Must possess demonstrated ability in managing project design and/or construction components.
  • Abilities to facilitate productive meetings between stakeholders are highly desirable.
  • Additional preferred qualities and skills include superior organizational ability, strong process orientation, ability to work with others in a team environment, and effective people skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera

    P6, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam, etc.
  • In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Jacobsen|Daniels will not sponsor an employment visa for this position.
  • Employment with Jacobsen|Daniels is contingent upon passing a substance abuse test and the ability to pass a TSA and Homeland Security background check for an airport SIDA badge.
