Team Leader - Generations Tax Strategy
Edward Jones is seeking a Team Leader for its Generations™ team, responsible for leading a group of advanced tax subject matter experts and ensuring high-quality tax planning for high net worth clients.

Job OverviewFull‑time position, anticipated open for 30 days from 22‑Dec‑2025. The role involves leading tax expertise, collaborating with branch teams, overseeing external service providers, and ensuring compliance with all supervisory procedures.
Team OverviewThe Generations™ team delivers a full end‑to‑end experience for high net worth clients, partnering with branch teams to provide holistic financial planning, tax and estate planning services, plan implementation, and ongoing reporting.
What You Will DoLead a team of tax experts, drive strategy, and ensure deliverables meet client needs. Manage day‑to‑day operations, develop team objectives, coach staff, and maintain written supervisory procedures.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute team objectives; drive performance through feedback, training, and coaching.
- Lead strategy to present complex concepts in an understandable, actionable manner to associates, branch teams, and clients.
- Coach team members on tax‑planning delivery, collaboration, and client interactions.
- Act as subject‑matter expert and translate insights into strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a resource on industry rules, potential regulatory changes, and business strategies.
- Present to branches via webinars, training meetings, and formal programs.
- Lead department/firm‑wide committees and projects, influencing peers and senior leaders.
- Manage written supervisory and standard operating procedures for compliance.
- Review and approve client‑facing materials to ensure fairness, accuracy, and suitability.
- Support strategic planning, driving measurement of progress against short‑, mid‑, and long‑term goals.

Minimum: $140,400 – Maximum: $239,100

Experience You Need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Law.
- CPA required.
- CFP® preferred or obtained under firm policy.
- Series 7, 66, and 24 required or to be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Direct client service experience with high net worth clients.
- Deep expertise in complex tax planning for HNW clients.
- Prior formal leadership experience.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Customer‑centric initiative and collaborative approach.
- Leadership of small groups and presentation of findings clearly.
- Capacity to lead multi‑professional client meetings.
- Understanding of how changes in tax laws, legislation, and regulatory changes impact HNW tax planning and client strategies.
- Advanced degree.
- Active FINRA licenses.
Candidates within commuting distance of Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO are expected to work in the office three days per week, preferably Tuesday–Thursday. The role is posted as hybrid; selected candidates may retain home‑based status.
