Job Type: Full‑time
Job Summary- Implement the Order Fulfillment Process steps related to the accuracy of raw material and finished goods inventory including quantity, storage location, material grade and dimensions.
- Read shipping documents and lead the processes that unload, load, move, and/or store TGC products and materials. Assist with difficult loading or unloading operations and operate a variety of material handling equipment.
- Check identification, quantities and location of materials to ensure fulfillment of routing, delivery tickets or orders. Inspect possible damage to material during loading or unloading operations.
- Assign and check work as needed to other material handlers and/or warehousing team members.
- Perform a variety of material handling and warehousing duties throughout the warehouse and shipping/receiving department to ensure proper workflow.
- Receive, inspect, store or pull and stage material for fabrication according to standard procedures.
- Ensure materials/products are stored, tagged, or staged in a timely manner and protected from damage following customer specifications or internal guidelines for placement in stock.
- Review purchase or work order pick list against shipment details for any special storage requirements, including HAZCOM/HAZMAT.
- Match work order/packing slip documentation to order documentation to verify all quantity and counts.
- Verify material condition by performing in‑process inspections.
- Review work order pick list to verify there are no shortages listed and reject any work orders back to the supervisor or designee that contain shortages.
- Pull and stage material following company standard or bus route based on (FIFO) sequence required to complete each work order.
- Move finished products to the Final Inspection station or next operation as needed.
- Return drops or offal from production to inventory and update inventory records.
- Perform cycle counts to validate inventory quantities and locations and forward count sheets to supervisor.
- Receive customer returns and notify the proper Customer Service Representative.
- Properly tag raw material and place in stock in a safe manner to prevent damage.
- Retain all pertinent records. Ensure complete & accurate documentation is forwarded to appropriate departments (i.e., accounting, quality assurance and sales).
- Control material destination i.e. stock, manufacturing or immediate shipment.
- Act as backup for shipping & packing by helping to prepare shipment as required.
- Prepare paperwork/packaging for returned goods tooling going out for repair & return.
- Make boxes, crates or skids as needed.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Load and unload trucks as necessary.
- Participate in cross training to become knowledgeable of equipment/process within the department.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Provide guidance, feedback and positive behavior modeling The Gund Company culture of care.
- Determine if tools/equipment are undamaged and in safe condition for use.
- Make suggestions to improve production and order processing efficiency.
- Assist with training other team members.
- Follow safety rules and quality standards.
- Model ethical and moral behavior consistent with the values and ideals supported by The Gund Company.
- Perform work independently.
- Communicate with supervisor on work order priority.
- Open to change due to emergency orders or fabrication of parts.
- Ability to use a computer and to learn TGC's business software – Visual Mfg;
Data Link. - Ability to convert and accurately use various units of measure (sq. feet to inches, metric to English, etc.).
- Intermediate to advanced math skills.
- Ability to understand drawings and blueprints.
