We are currently looking for a Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate meets safety, production, sustainability, and quality standards. The Material Handler interacts with other departments to achieve the company’s core strategies and moves products to accommodate production.

• Compensation: $17.87 hourly, $0.50 Shift Differential
• Schedule:
  
  2nd Shift – M-F, 3:00 PM-11:00 PM

• Paid Holidays:
  New Years, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, plus two floating Holidays

• Reads and understands Job Tickets and layout to produce the correct product of the highest quality.
• Understands and executes plans, schedules in an accurate and prompt manner to effectively maximize throughput.
• Works closely with all Associates to coordinate the workflow.
• Performance metrics must be at the average or greater for this position.
• Completes required documentation in an accurate and prompt manner.
• Safely operates material moving equipment.
• Assists in maintaining equipment for optimal operation, including adjustments and preventative maintenance.
• Correctly enters information into systems for job tracking and payroll.
• Disposes of waste materials into proper storage containers. Marks and identifies containers with required documentation.
• Complies with established facility safety policies and procedures and other regulations (e.g., GMP, HAACP, BRC) as applicable.
• Interacts and behaves professionally. Treats all associates respectfully and professionally while maintaining the company code of ethics.
• Responsible for maintaining daily housekeeping efforts.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skill, and ability.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment. Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic math and reading skills.
• Computer literacy.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Physical demands:
  Standing, using hands to feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear.
• Requires frequent walking.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Knowledge in inventory control and shipping/receiving activities is a plus.
