Overview
As a Sr. Advisor Area Development (Lead Gala Fundraiser) at ALSAC, you have the opportunity to drive fundraising and advance cures and prevention for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Your role supports growing giving and exceeding revenue goals to enable cutting-edge medical care and research that changes lives.

In collaboration with area leadership, develop and execute signature event experiences that transcend expectations, from intimate gatherings to grand galas. Recruit and cultivate high-profile committees. - Organizational Pro

Manage projects autonomously with attention to detail. - Cultivate Relationships with Purpose
:
Build deep connections with corporate partners and individuals, fostering relationships beyond transactions. Engage through face-to-face interactions and strategic communication to recruit new corporate sponsors and nurture existing partnerships, including work with high-profile volunteers and volunteer management (senior executive leadership within the community). - Collaborate for Impact
:
Partner with internal stakeholders to achieve defined KPIs. Monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, and use insights to guide adjustments, aligning actions with the mission to maximize impact. - Empower Fundraising Initiatives
:
Leverage fundraising expertise to empower volunteers and donors. Motivate, direct, and provide resources through personal visits, written contact, and electronic platforms to drive fundraising success. - Strategize for Growth
:
Develop compelling cultivation and stewardship strategies to enhance engagement and contributions from St. Jude donors, strengthening revenue programs. - Champion Donor Relationships
:
Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate, individual, major, leadership annual donors, and volunteers. Build, maintain, and grow these relationships to retain and increase support. - Collaboration

Work with program owners in Development to enhance donor and volunteer relationship management, ensuring stewardship, financial analysis, and program alignment. - Data-Driven Impact
:
Use data systems to drive stewardship strategies, analyze donor interactions, and tailor personalized communications that resonate with donors’ philanthropic journeys. - Elevate Our Presence
:
Represent ALSAC/St. Jude Children Research Hospital professionally in all interactions, reflecting the hospital s commitment to excellence.
- Develop and Grow
:
Lead growth for multiple high-value $1 million dinners/galas with growth rates and expense management, as assigned by territory and area leadership. - Compelling Communication
:
Clear written and verbal communication to influence and inspire others. - Relationship Building
:
Strong donor-centric focus with ability to prospect, recruit donors, and engage high-value volunteers. - Innovative Collaboration
:
Collaborate with internal areas, enterprise teams, volunteers, and stakeholders to identify, cultivate, and solicit donors; conduct prospect research and develop sponsorship proposals; communicate clearly to foster teamwork. - Experience in Philanthropy
:
Background in relational event management with committees, boards, and corporate engagement; strategic planning and execution of premier gala events. - Senior Role
:
Senior-level position in the St. Louis, MO area office with focus on revenue growth and engaging volunteers and new donors. - Corporate Sector Relationships
:
Ideally existing corporate relationships and ability to prospect new sponsors and donors. - Executive Volunteer Leadership
:
Experience managing high-level executive volunteer leadership committees. - Education and Adaptability
: 6+ years of fundraising, development, customer service, or sales experience. Bachelor degree preferred. Travel 15%–20%, including some nights/weekends and periodic travel to Memphis, TN for enterprise events. - Driver License
:
Valid driver license required. Position includes a company car with AAA membership, insurance, maintenance plan, and a fuel card for work and personal use; inquire during interview for details.
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule to include working from our Territory Office located at 680 Craig Road, Suite 300, St Louis, MO 63141.
