Location: St. Louis

The Salvation Army Ferguson Community Empowerment Center is seeking a full‑time Pathway of Hope Case Manager. The role includes maintaining client files, completing monthly statistical reports, and enhancing access to vital community resources. It requires 40 hours per week at a salary of $44,000 per year and is located at 9420 W Florissant, MO 63136.

Essential Functions
  • Deliver the Pathway of Hope service with a limited number of participating clients:
  • Conduct pre‑screening and intake of clients using specified assessment tools
  • Conduct goal‑setting steps with clients to formulate change‑oriented action plans
  • Conduct follow‑up case‑management meetings with clients
  • Monitor and track change goal attainment on action plans
  • Input all client information into SIMS in a timely manner
  • Provide on‑site and occasional outreach assistance to clients seeking emergency assistance
  • Assist persons in intake and assessment activities to determine client eligibility and match clients with resources
  • Distribute food, vouchers, and/or checks as available, and refer persons to other agencies if assistance is unavailable
  • Identify resources in service areas and maintain a current community resource guide to provide referral services
  • Network with community agencies and organizations to maximize services and act as liaison between clients, The Salvation Army, and other agencies
  • Record electronic and written client information in paper and computer records, maintaining confidentiality
  • Record statistical data and provide timely reports
  • Expend ESS funding and in‑kind gifts according to spending deadlines, using prescribed tracking methods; submit all reports promptly
  • Maintain food pantry in a clean, organized condition; stock space with food products and distribution supplies
  • Direct, schedule, and supervise volunteer staff for the food pantry
  • Communicate social‑service activities to the direct supervisor; coordinate with other Corps programming and inform clients of Corps programming
  • Facilitate client application process for seasonal and special assistance and community programs
  • Participate in Corps seasonal events and resource collection as directed by supervisor
  • Provide emergency social services during disaster situations for extended durations and in extreme conditions
  • Represent The Salvation Army by implementing its mission in all service aspects
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Safe From Harm guidelines
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field plus one (1) year of related work experience, including some supervisory experience; a combination of education and experience will be considered. Requires an outgoing personality with strong communication skills, the ability to work with diverse cultures, and a commitment to the Salvation Army’s mission. Knowledge of Salvation Army and government, state, and community resources is helpful.

Must possess working knowledge of computers, reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and pass a TSA MVR check. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.
