LPN GIG - Flex/Per Diem/PRN - Mercy Southeast (Cape Girardeau) and Surrounding Communities
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse or other licensed practitioner. Maintains professional accountability for patient care, coordinates with other departments, and protects patient rights and confidentiality.

- Shift: Various shifts available
- Minimum 12 hours every 90 days, maximum 30 hours a week (Sun–Sat)
- Shift length: 4, 8, or 12 hours
- W-2 employee
- $30/hour + variable shift incentive

- Floats between designated Mercy Hospital facilities of your choice.

- $30/hour + variable shift incentive

Qualifications- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (comparable education and licensure considered).
- Current LPN license in the state of assignment; must meet all state board requirements.
- One year recent bedside LPN experience in Med‑Surg; two years for ED, ICU, etc.
- Certifications:
BLS for Med‑Surg; BLS/ACLS for Critical Care; BLS/ACLS/PALS for ED; IV certification required. - Epic experience preferred.
- Physical ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs; prolonged standing and walking; reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat.
Apply the nursing process under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, manage assigned patients, coordinate care with interdepartmental teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
Gig Nursing Program OverviewThe Gig Nursing Program offers flexible, incentivized LPN positions with no required weekend, holiday, or shift commitment. Participants may select day or night shifts per availability. You are responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours and remaining available on short notice; hours are not guaranteed and may be subject to last‑minute cancellations.
