RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:

• Work night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM

• 13-week assignment length with 36 or 48 guaranteed weekly hours

• Weekend hours required every other weekend

• No call requirements

• 22-bed Cardiac Medical Intensive Care Unit with 1:2 patient ratios

• May be floated to other stepdown units based on staffing needs

• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only, NIHSS

• Preferred certification: TNCC

• Current RN license eligible for Missouri or currently licensed in Missouri

• 3 years Cardiac and/or Medical ICU experience required

• 3+ years CVICU experience recovering open hearts directly from the OR required

• Work with equipment including Impella, IABP, Prismax CRRT, Zoll internal cooling device, Arctic Sun

• Use EPIC electronic medical record system

• Dress code requires black scrubs only

• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation

• Provide direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

• Care for patients with sepsis, respiratory conditions, post cardiac arrest, GI bleed, DKA, PE, renal failure, liver failure, pancreatitis, overdose, and suicidal ideations

• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance

• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
