Acute Care Medicine Registered Nurses provide high-quality care for patients experiencing acute medical conditions, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver timely and effective treatment.

Acute Care Medicine manages patients with a full range of clinical issues—from significant blood dyscrasias, advanced endocrine pathology, heart and renal failure, GI conditions, infectious diseases, asthma, cystic fibrosis—and many other conditions and diseases. Due to patient acuity, we provide advanced training to bring new nurses to the highest level of functioning. Each unit is led by a clinical manager and lead charge nurse, supported by an advanced practice nurse.
Additionally, each unit has a case manager, social worker, physical therapist, dietitian, and pharmacist. This multidisciplinary team collaborates with physicians, nurses, and patient care technicians to deliver quality patient care.
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of nursing care standards.
