Overview
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Position DetailsMERCY HOSPITAL ST LOUIS GI LAB
Full Time Days - 36 hours per week
- Monday–Friday hours based on department needs
- 3–4 Weekend Call Rotations per year (0600 Saturday–0630 Monday, 48‑hour coverage)
- One Holiday Call per year (0630–0630, 24‑hour coverage)
- 2–3 Late Shifts per month (extend beyond scheduled shift if lab remains open)

Education:
Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program - Preferred Education:
BSN - Licensure:
Must obtain and maintain a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements. - Certifications:
Must complete hospital and required nursing competencies, mandatory in‑services/My Education assignments and relevant certifications (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.) within required timeframe. - Experience:
At least 1 year of RN experience.
