Job Summary

Clinical Nurse Trauma Med Surg role at Barnes‑Jewish Hospital.

Base pay range: $30.00/hr - $47.28/hr additional information: $5/hr Med/Surg Nurse differential.

Divisions 6400 & 6500 form a combined trauma, geriatric trauma, and acute care surgery nursing division with a bed capacity of 63 patients. Nurses treat a variety of traumatic injuries and acute care surgery cases.

Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

• Promote patient and family centered care and educate on home care and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with defined goals, ensuring communication across the continuum of care.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree.
• Experience:
  
  No prior experience required.

  Certifications:
  
  Registered Nurse (RN).

  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
