POSITION TITLE: Family Practice Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner)
REPORTS TO: Director of Medical Services
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt
CareSTL Health is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our team! The Nurse Practitioner diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems of Adult Medicine, Pediatric, and/ or Women’s Health patients (as applicable), within the scope of their specialty.

• Provides for the acute and chronic medical and health maintenance care of the patient of their specialty (Family Practice Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, and/ or Women’s Health, as applicable), and also providing productivity as determined by the Chief Medical Officer
• Provides excellent customer service to the patients.
• Provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis (Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, and/ or Women’s Health, as determined by the Director of Medical Services).
• Follows the Health Center’s QAQI Plan
• Works with the Collaborating physician(s) in getting care documentations reviewed (20% of charts), and providing care for patients.

• Education: Graduated from an accredited school of APN in the area of health care specialties of positions desired by CareSTL Health (ie Family Practice Adult Medicine, Pediatrics, and/ or Women’s Health, as applicable) as required in the state of Missouri.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Effective clinical and communication skills
• Able to perform all aspects of vaccinating clients, when needed (if managing Pediatric patients).
• Able to perform all aspects of the Well Woman exam, including PAP smears, when needed (if managing WH patients).
• Able to manage aspects of contraceptive or other hormonal therapies, as indicated, including Nexplanon management (if managing WH patients).
• Transportation Requirement: Must have Reliable Transportation.
• This position supervises medical students and residents as needed.

• Copy of Diploma from accredited APN school, and license to practice in the State of Missouri
• Current Registration with the Missouri Family Care Safety Registry
• Must maintain-admitting privileges at appropriate hospitals
• Must meet criteria for Meaningful Use of the Electronic Health Record
• Annual PPD or Chest X-Ray
• COVID-19 vaccination
• Current BLS/ CPR Certification as applicable

• Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
