Job SummaryThe Chronic Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent dialysis care for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD). This role supports patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams to improve patient outcomes and facility operations.
As a member of the Fresenius Kidney Care team, the RN participates in patient education, quality improvement initiatives, and leadership activities that support safe and effective chronic hemodialysis treatment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments
. - Perform ongoing assessment and documentation of patient condition and response to treatment.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Administer medications according to approved protocols and document effectiveness.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans, learning needs, and transplant/modality options.
- Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
- Ensure accurate laboratory collection, processing, and shipment.
- Serve as a clinical resource and support staff training and orientation.
- Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
. - Active state RN license
. - Current BLS (CPR) certification.
- Minimum 1 year of nephrology nursing experience within the last two years.
- Chronic hemodialysis experience required

- Frequent standing, bending, and patient movement assistance.
- Ability to assist with moving equipment up to 200 lbs. (with assistance).
- Exposure to infectious or contagious materials in a healthcare environment.
- Completion of Ishihara Color Blindness Test required (reasonable accommodations considered).
