The Cardiac Diagnostic Lab provides non‑invasive diagnostic services to inpatient and outpatient populations in conjunction with Washington University Physicians. Services include Transthoracic Echocardiograms (TTE), Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Stress Echocardiograms, Nuclear Stress Tests, Treadmill Exercise Stress Tests, Event and Holter Monitors, and EKG Processing.
Responsibilities- Promote patient and family‑centered care in a healing environment.
- Educate patients and families on illness management, post‑treatment home care, and medication administration.
- Participate in patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance activities and engage in professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team and the patient, family, or caregiver.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients.
- Maintain constant alertness and safety awareness; this is a safety‑sensitive position.
- 3+ years of Cardiac or Critical Care experience.
- BLS/ACLS certification required, or to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
- ADN, BSN, or MSN candidates acceptable; ADN must complete the BSN agreement.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree in Nursing. - Experience:
No prior experience required. - Supervisor Experience:
No prior supervisor experience required. - Licenses & Certifications:
Registered Nurse (RN).
