Registered Nurse - Tele
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc.
TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a highly attentive and skilled Registered Nurse - Tele to care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and intermediate-level medical attention. The Tele RN plays a critical role in detecting subtle changes in patients' conditions and coordinating care in a telemetry unit.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring for cardiac and medical conditions.
- Continuously assess cardiac rhythms and alert physicians to significant changes or arrhythmias.
- Administer medications, monitor IVs, and manage treatments per provider orders.
- Interpret telemetry strips and collaborate with telemetry techs and the care team for appropriate interventions.
- Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the EHR.
- Promote patient safety and follow evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Active RN license in good standing.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry or cardiac nursing experience preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Proficient in reading EKGs and recognizing common cardiac arrhythmias.
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills.
