Base pay range$26.62/hr – $37.52/hr
Schedule & LocationSt. Louis metro region near Christian Hospital – Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm with weekend/holiday rotation. Mileage reimbursement at IRS rates.
OverviewBJC Home Care offers patients and their families a comprehensive range of home care services, including skilled nursing, adult and pediatric hospice, therapeutic care, home infusion, respiratory support, and specialized programs for asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care.
Role PurposeProvides direct patient care activities including IV management, utilizing the nursing process under the supervision of the RN.
Responsibilities- Implements treatments and procedures within the scope of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, provides patient teaching and discharge planning; participates in professional development and lifelong learning.
- Performs patient assessment and evaluation with regard to the patient's age and developmental needs.
- Assists in developing and updating the plan of care with regard to the patient's age and developmental needs.
- Implements plan of care with regard to the patient's age and developmental needs.
- Education:
High School Diploma or GED;
Nursing background preferred. - Experience:
No experience required; willingness to learn. - Supervisor
Experience:
No experience required. - Licenses &
Certifications:
Valid Driver's License; LPN – IV Certification. - Preferred Experience:
Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
