Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Orthopedics, PRN

Location:

Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, Missouri 63128 Overview:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) . Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Education:

High school diploma or GED equivalent Licensure:
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements Comparable education experience and successful licensure may be considered

Experience:

New graduates and experienced LPNs welcome

Certifications:

Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (or within 30 days of hire) LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing and walking throughout shift Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs Why Mercy?
