Travel RN - Cath Lab​/EP

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab RN with at least one year of experience, a MO or compact RN license, and required ACLS/BLS certifications.

Job Details

• Position is in a hospital Cath Lab unit caring for cardiac and vascular patients,

• 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in diagnostic and interventional PCI environment,

• Handles acute cases including AMI, chest pain, heart failure, NSTEMI, arrhythmias, and vascular disease,

• Specialized procedures include conscious sedation, sterile supply handoff, and assisting in hemodynamics,

• Works with EPIC charting, Impella, and IABP devices,

• Day shifts are 4x10 hours, 7:00 to 17:30,

• On-call is required: one night per week and rotating every 2nd to 4th weekend,

• Weekend work is required every other weekend,

• Floating required within the service line as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required; pending license accepted,

• Current certifications: ACLS and BLS,

• Minimum one year of recent Cath Lab RN experience required,

• Experience with interventional scrub in Cath Lab required,

• Familiarity with EPIC charting system preferred or required,

• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted,

• No more than 7 days of requested time off per 13-week contract; no time off allowed during orientation,

• Permanent former employees must wait one year before returning as a traveler,

Additional Information

• RN circulator responsibilities include sedation administration under direction, vitals assessment, supply management, patient handoff, and documentation,

• Potential for cross-training to hemodynamics monitor tech role,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Navy scrubs are required,

• Testing and training modules are included in pre-orientation,

• Holiday and on-call coverage is required as scheduled,

• Travelers may stay up to 18 months before a required 3-month break,
