Position: Registered Nurse (Non-Exempt) (10013N)
Location: St. Louis

Overview

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care for the assigned patients, evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers, coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments, maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, and performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and Service Standards.

BRAND NEW UNIT OPENING FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH – Adult unit with up to 10 beds.

Education & Licensure
  • Graduated from a school of nursing:
    Associate’s Degree, Diploma, or BSN.
  • Current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure and meets all state board of nursing requirements.
Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or completion of an equivalent course within 30 days of hire.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on the unit/position:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
    • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
    • CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)
    • OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)
    • S.T.A.B.L.E. (Six Assessment & Care Modules)
    • C‑EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
    • Other unit‑specific certifications as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
  • Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
