Northwest Health Care , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab provides services to all in-house patients or outpatients, patients directly from the Emergency Room, or patients transferred from other health care facilities, excluding pediatric patients. Basic physical, emotional and educational assessment of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization. Analgesia and moderate sedation needs are assessed prior, during and post procedure by the nurse. Assistance to physicians performing diagnostic and interventional procedures;
pharmacologic and hemodynamic support of patients before, during and after all invasive procedures. Post-procedural assessment, stabilization and transfer to appropriate medical/surgical service.
Role Purpose
Provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care.
