Shift: 3x12 Nights
Unit Type: Inpatient Behavioral Health (Adult & Geriatric)
- Adult and geriatric patients (18+)
- Diagnoses may include dementia, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, Parkinson’s disease, substance use disorders, and other psychiatric conditions
- Patients may have medical co-morbidities and mobility limitations
- Some patients require pre-operative preparation for ECT
- Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:6
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- Behavioral Health and medical/psych experience required
- First-time travelers accepted (cannot be AO; candidates will be submitted as a clinical screen)
- Active RN license (pending license accepted)
- BLS
- CPI
- Inpatient Behavioral Health nursing
- Geriatric patient care
- Locked unit experience
- Substance use / chemical dependency care
- Medication administration via PO, rectal, IM, IV, and subcutaneous routes
- IV initiation and maintenance
- Blood glucose monitoring
- Foley catheter insertion and maintenance
- Restraint application and monitoring
- Presence in the therapeutic milieu
- Pre-op preparation for ECT
- Epic EMR proficiency
- Ability to work charge nurse shifts as needed
