Position: Inpatient Acute Dialysis Nurse (Full-Time, Night Shift)
Location: St. Louis

This RN position involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient acute dialysis unit, utilizing advanced renal replacement therapies such as hemodialysis, CVVHDF, CVVHD, and others. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Nurses will develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, collaborate with the healthcare team, and assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.

Role Overview

This RN position involves providing direct patient care in an inpatient acute dialysis unit, utilizing advanced renal replacement therapies such as hemodialysis, CVVHDF, CVVHD, and others. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, education on illness management, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Nurses will develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, collaborate with the healthcare team, and assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments, planning, and care delivery within established standards.
  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
  • Participate in safety, quality, and professional development activities.
  • Communicate effectively across care teams to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a healing environment.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree in Nursing; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Current RN license required.
  • At least two years of hospital-based bedside RN experience, with dialysis experience preferred.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment with alertness and professionalism.

  • Full-time night shifts with weekend and holiday rotations.
  • On-call responsibilities every sixth Sunday.
