Assistant Nurse Manager - Emergency Department

Role Overview: This position involves coordinating patient care, managing personnel, maintaining equipment, and ensuring efficient department operations within a high-capacity Emergency Department.

• Supervise staff by hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and supporting professional development.
• Develop and manage staffing plans and budgets, responding to operational needs to meet departmental goals.
• Oversee patient care delivery, ensuring interventions are appropriate for patient age and needs, and document care according to policy.
• Create collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
• Manage staff productivity, conduct performance reviews, and handle disciplinary actions.
• Support payroll processes, staffing adjustments, and staff communication.

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and active RN licensure.
• 2+ years of RN experience; preferred 5-10 years with some supervisory experience.
• Experience in emergency nursing and leadership roles is advantageous.
• Strong ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
