American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for an ENT/Plastic Surgery unit at a Level I Trauma and Teaching hospital, requiring telemetry and tracheostomy/laryngectomy care experience.

• ENT and Plastic Surgery unit within a Short Term Acute Care hospital
• Cares for patients with cuffed/cuffless tracheostomies, total laryngectomies, carotid blow out precautions, and free flap patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Telemetry monitoring required
• Day shift, 3x12 hours (7:00-19:30)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required within service line and scope
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active MO RN license or compact license in hand required at time of consideration
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• BSN preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; will consider 1+ year with Level I Trauma/Teaching Facility experience
• Experience with drains, flap monitoring post-op, tracheostomy/total laryngectomy care, tube feeding, phlebotomy, IV access, and central line management required
• Telemetry monitoring experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

• Provide direct patient care including wound care, surgical drain management, feeding tube care, and respiratory support
• Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital setting
• Navy blue scrub color required
• First-time travelers will be considered
• No local candidates accepted within a 75 mile radius
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler
• No more than 7 days of RTO permitted per 13-week contract, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
