Assistant Nurse Manager - GYN Oncology

This position involves coordinating patient care on a specialized 24-bed unit dedicated to female patients, primarily focusing on GYN Oncology treatments such as chemotherapy, surgery, radiation, symptom, pain, palliative, and hospice care. It requires managing a multidisciplinary team including oncology nurses, advanced practice nurses, case managers, social workers, and physicians.

• Manage staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development to support department goals.
• Participate in staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure optimal department operations.
• Ensure delivery of patient-centered care based on assessments and medical plans, documenting according to policy.
• Create collaborative care plans aligned with patient needs and medical treatments.
• Oversee staff scheduling, payroll, and communications, including performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Maintain department productivity and safety standards, working in a safety-sensitive environment.

• BSN required; RN licensure essential.
• 2-5 years of experience; supervisory experience preferred for advanced roles.
