Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit-specific physical demands. Significant bending and stooping is required, as well as assisting with lifting and turning patients. May be required to work varying schedules and shifts according to patient care requirements.
High risk exposure to blood and body fluids exists. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
