- Experience with titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, insulin drips, trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes - Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months
Description:
The role involves working in a high-acuity step down unit. You will be responsible for patient care, including monitoring and administering treatments. Ratios in the unit are 1:4, ensuring a manageable workload. Two shifts every other weekend are required. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes. The patient population primarily consists of adults with acute medical conditions. Special procedures such as management of trach-vented patients and cardiac drips are critical components of this role.
You will need to demonstrate proficiency in using specific medical equipment and responding to emergencies. The schedule is self-scheduling and flexible within policy guidelines. You will float to lower acuity floors as needed to meet facility demands. The position requires adherence to strict compliance protocols and deadlines.
