American Traveler is hiring a Med Surg/Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience and a Missouri or compact RN license.

• Night shift position on a 7 East Medical Admit Unit, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Patient population is 50% medical and 50% telemetry adults only
• Patient ratios typically range from 4-6:1
• Uses standard nursing equipment on a telemetry unit
• Epic EMR used
• Every other full weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) unless otherwise approved
• Float to similar or lower acuity units as needed
• No on-call requirements
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift, requiring full availability that week

• Active RN license meeting Missouri licensure criteria or current Missouri RN license (Standard or Compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty required
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with client-approved exemptions only

• Perform direct patient care for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize care and comfort
• Function within scope of nursing practice consistent with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards and values
• Black scrub color required
• Candidates should expect to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
• Up to 5 days of requested time off per 13-week period may be automatically approved, with additional time subject to leader approval and made up at the end of the assignment
• Unit manager will interview all candidates within 24 hours of offer, with all offers subject to final manager approval
• Local candidates accepted, though bill rate is reduced for those residing within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are restricted to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the radius
