American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Med Surg/Tele unit requiring 2+ years of tele experience and MO or compact licensure.

• Work on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit providing care for adult patients
• Patient population is 50% medical and 50% telemetry adults
• Patient ratios of 4-6:1 (estimates, not guaranteed)
• Uses standard nursing equipment on a telemetry unit
• EPIC EMR system used
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• 20-week assignment length
• Every other full weekend required (Saturday and Sunday) unless otherwise approved
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required as needed to a similar or lower acuity unit
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift, requiring full availability during orientation week

• Active RN license eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri (MO or compact)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA only
• Current NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry experience required
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required (Canadian SINs not accepted)

• Perform direct patient care activities for all age groups including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
• Black scrubs required
• Flu vaccination required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1, with client-approved exemptions only
• Must work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week period, with additional time to be made up during the assignment
• Local candidates accepted, though local candidates are subject to a restriction of 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before requiring a 1-year separation or transition to a facility outside a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers may be considered
