American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a 13-week night shift contract at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2 years of experience (or 1+ year with Level I/teaching facility background) and a MO or compact RN license.

• Medical Surgical unit within a short-term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level I Trauma Center status
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30
• Patient ratios range from 1:3 to 1:5
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating within scope and service line required to meet facility needs
• No on-call responsibilities
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active MO or compact RN license required (compact must match permanent residence)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 2 years of Med/Surg experience preferred; 1+ year accepted with Level I Trauma or teaching facility experience
• Epic charting experience required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam covering interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, non-invasive airway management, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs required

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, phlebotomy, and IV therapy
• Navy blue scrub color required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
• No more than 7 days of RTO allowed per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Must comply with facial hair fit-testing standards for respirator use
• Pending license accepted for consideration
