American Traveler is hiring a Medical Surgical RN for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring MO or compact RN license and ACLS certification.

• Medical Surgical unit in a short-term acute care, teaching, Level I Trauma hospital
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-07:30)
• Option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Average daily census of 15 patients across 12 rooms and 17 beds
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on all shifts
• Floating required within service line as needed
• Every other weekend required
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active MO or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam covering interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Telemetry experience and chemo administration experience preferred

• Provide direct patient care on a busy Medical Surgical unit with a focus on cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Navy scrubs required
• Facial hair must allow for proper respirator fit testing or must be shaved
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility
• Maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of orientation
• Contract length is firm at 13 weeks
• Travelers may stay up to 18 months total, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Permanent BJC or Saint Luke's employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
