American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg RN for a 12-week day shift assignment at a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring EPIC experience and MO or compact RN licensure.

• Medical Surgical unit in a short term acute care, Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with a Level I Trauma Center
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Floating required within service line to meet facility needs
• Manages acute care medical conditions including acute renal failure, pneumonia, acute pancreatitis, UTI, encephalopathy/cirrhosis, sickle cell pain crisis, chest pain, COPD, asthma exacerbation, syncope, and diabetic keto acidosis

• Active MO RN license or compact license in hand required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg RN experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam covering interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube management, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• Experienced in IV therapy, phlebotomy, central line blood draws, and PICC line management
• Skilled in administration of high-risk medications including heparin, insulin, and PCA
• Competent in wound care, wound vac management, and isolation precautions/PPE

• Provide direct patient care for a medically complex Med/Surg population
• Navy blue scrubs required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract, with no RTO permitted during the first week of the assignment
• Permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning to this facility as a traveler
• Standard travelers may stay for up to 18 months, followed by a required 3-month break in service
• Pending MO license accepted at time of consideration
