Join to apply for the Quality Engineer role at Beltservice Corporation.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $70,500/yr – $90,000/yr.

Company Overview

Beltservice Corporation is a leading fabricator of custom conveyor belting. Every day, we stake our reputation on the durability, variety, and performance of the products we produce, committed to delivering high-quality products through innovation and excellence. We are seeking a highly innovative and analytical Quality Engineer with a builder's mindset – someone who can create structure from scratch and drive rapid improvements in how quality is managed.

Job Summary

The Quality Engineer is critical in building, executing, and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS). This individual will work closely with operations, engineering, and leadership teams to ensure that our products and processes meet the highest quality standards, supporting our goal of becoming a class‑leading vendor in our industry. This is a hands‑on role in a company that is in the early stages of formalizing its quality systems.

If you have seen both the challenges of immature systems and the structure of more mature environments and want to put your mark on building something lasting, we want to hear from you!

Core Values
  • Get it Done: Complete tasks with minimal supervision, solve problems with a positive attitude, and work collaboratively.
  • Raise the Standard: Strive for continuous improvement, be open to learning and teaching, and aim to be the best in the industry.
  • Do the Right Thing: Value honesty and integrity, see the big picture, and lead by example with humility and confidence.
  • Passion for Service: Be responsive and dedicated to customers and ensure promises are met.
Build & Execute the QMS
  • Develop and document SOPs, inspection sheets, and quality procedures from the ground up.
  • Establish and manage CAPA, DMR, SCAR, and audit processes.
  • Create practical inspection standards and sample‑size guidelines.
Drive Rapid Improvement
  • Analyze quality data and customer claims to identify trends and prioritize improvements.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Partner with production teams to reduce rework, scrap, and credits.
  • Support customer audits and provide professional quality documentation.
  • Collaborate with vendors to improve incoming material quality.
Data & Reporting
  • Develop and track meaningful quality KPIs (defects, claims, credits, vendor scorecards).
  • Present findings to leadership with clear action plans and progress updates.
Training & Culture
  • Train operators and supervisors on new procedures and inspection methods.
  • Foster a culture of “getting it right the first time” across the organization.
  • Encourage ownership and accountability for quality at every level — from operators to leadership.
  • Promote open communication so employees feel safe to raise issues early, without blame.
  • Recognize and celebrate quality wins to reinforce positive behaviors.
  • Act as a change champion, modeling continuous improvement and raising the standard for how work gets done.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing or quality engineering preferred.
  • Prior experience at building or rebuilding quality systems.
  • Track record of reducing defect rates, customer claims, and credits.
  • Experience in conveyor belting, fabrication, or high‑mix industrial manufacturing a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of QMS frameworks (ISO 9001 or similar).
  • Experience writing SOPs, implementing inspection processes, and rolling out QMS documentation.
  • Proficiency with quality tools: root cause analysis, CAPA.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with shop‑floor and leadership.
  • Self‑starter with ability to execute and improve processes.
  • Team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment.
  • Strong bias for action and improvement, not just compliance.
  • Competitive starting salary ($70,500 to $90,000/year).
  • Full benefits package, including health, dental, life, vision, long/short term disability.
  • Tuition Reimbursement.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO).
  • Employee Referral Program.
  • 401(k) plan with company match and Profit Sharing.
