Quality Assurance Manager Ronnoco Coffee LLC

Ronnoco Coffee, the Midwest's leading supplier of specialty coffee, is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at our main coffee manufacturing facility in St. Louis, MO.

The QA Manager will set the vision and direction of our quality program for the manufacturing and warehousing departments, including setting quality goals and targets in line with Ronnoco's strategic plan. The QA Manager will champion, support, or lead quality improvement initiatives, ensure that customer requirements and expectations have been accurately identified and met, and support the development of a customer-focused culture with the organization.

We have recently passed our SQF audit and are looking for a manager who will help us maintain that certification.

Responsibilities:

• Promote quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization
• Maintain a constant awareness of the business context and company profitability
• Own Quality alert documentation and tracking process, warehouse order pull failures, hand pack failures, and customer complaints, including corrective actions and follow-up.
• Assess, document, and own product specifications.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards. Own external audit execution (i.e. GMP/food safety, HACCP, Kosher, Organic, FDA/MO Dept. of Health).
• Maintain SQF certification.
• Establish a clearly defined and documented management system, and set up and maintain controls and documentation.
• Supervise staff in carrying out tests and checks, and ensure tests and procedures and properly understood, carried out, and evaluated.
• Provide leadership and direction for overage and damaged product and when working with the Buyer on product holds and re-work.
• Provide back up, daily management, and support to QA Lab Support in the form of daily quality checks related to manufacturing line start-up; oversight of cup roasted coffee from roasters and production lines; random sampling from grinding to finished goods; and daily checks of oxygen readings, weight verification, finished product appearance and integrity checks, and Rotap and Agtron analysis.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 3-5+ years' experience in a quality management role
• Food manufacturing experience
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
