Quality Control Inspector

Schedule:
On-site Monday through Thursday 6am to 4:30pm, possibly overtime on Friday (8 hours).
Pay: $20‑21 an hour.
Length of assignment:
Six months, may extend.
The Quality Control Inspector I is responsible for ensuring that incoming and internally produced components, assemblies, and products comply with design specifications through detailed physical, visual, and specialized inspection and testing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and test received and in‑house components, assemblies, and products for compliance with design requirements.
- Identify and report defects, inconsistencies, and non‑conformities with high attention to detail.
- Complete and maintain accurate, up‑to‑date inspection documentation in alignment with standard operating procedures.
- Meet established cycle time standards for inspection processes.
- Perform accurate product counts during inspections.
- Document inspection results as required by company procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Consistently adhere to all safety policies and requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with coworkers to foster a positive and productive work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a quality role may be considered.
- Training/certification in a quality inspection‑related field is preferred.
- Proficient in using inspection tools such as eyepieces, basic hand tools, calipers, and micrometers.
- Ability to interpret product drawings, specifications, and visual work instructions.
- Strong communication skills: able to read, write legibly, speak, and understand English; proficiency in basic math.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to perform inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures within assigned areas.
- Familiarity with automated measurement equipment is preferred.
- Experience working with inventory management and document control systems is preferred.
