Leasing Associate

Are you passionate about commercial real estate and eager to grow your career? The DESCO Group is seeking a motivated and collaborative Leasing Associate to join our Leasing team. In this role, you will help optimize the tenant mix, rent, occupancy, and value across a portfolio of neighborhood shopping centers. You’ll actively contribute to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and community-focused environment while working closely with DESCO colleagues, tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities for vacancies by creating targeted tenant prospect lists to enhance community value.
• Develop expertise in local market conditions and property values, supporting DESCO’s commitment to excellence.
• Use market research to compile rent comparables for all portfolio centers.
• Manage and maintain social media content as it relates to portfolios, helping DESCO stay engaged with all demographics and actively involved in the communities we serve.
• Collaborate with property management to facilitate tenant moveouts, including coordinating vacancy floor plans, HVAC reports, and overall space condition documentation.

• 1-3 years of business experience, preferably in commercial real estate
• A team player eager to learn and grow in commercial real estate leasing

Individual will work in an office setting as well as drive to properties on a frequent basis. Individual will sit and stand for extended periods. When on sites, individual will need to navigate flat as well as uneven terrain. Occasional roof inspections may be required.
