The Burch-Smith lab at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis, MO is seeking a postdoctoral associate beginning immediately. We are seeking a motivated, creative and independent scientist to join our dynamic and diverse research lab. The Burch-Smith lab is a plant molecular and cellular biology lab that studies intra- and intercellular communication in plants. The postdoc hired through this advertisement will research intercellular communication in sorghum grown under field conditions using a combination of molecular biology and advanced imaging techniques.

This project is part of a larger DOE-funded project, and the selected candidate will have the opportunity to engage with labs with expertise in plant physiology, epigenetics and genomics.

Expectations:

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Molecular or Cell Biology or related field
