Postdoctoral Research Associate (Proteomics and Multi‑Omics in Neurodegeneration) – Psychiatry

The Cruchaga lab at WashU Medicine is recruiting multiple Postdoctoral Research Associates. The lab generates and analyzes high‑throughput multi‑omic data to study neurodegeneration and central nervous system diseases, with an emphasis on Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and other dementias. The ultimate goal is to understand disease biology, define novel biomarkers, and identify therapeutic targets. We pioneer the integration of genetics with omic data to identify proteomic signatures and develop predictive models for Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Dystonia, as well as to discover novel proteins and pathways implicated in disease pathogenesis.

We are currently analyzing brain, CSF, and blood samples using transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other omics to identify biomarker candidates and druggable targets.

Primary

  • Analyze plasma, CSF, and brain proteomic and metabolomic data.
  • Identify biomarkers using machine‑learning approaches.
  • Integrate multi‑omics data with genomics, transcriptomics, and methylomics.
  • Generate novel insights into neurodegeneration in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment.
