Postdoctoral Fellow - Chemical & Structural Biology and Signal Transduction
Job Description
Saint Louis University is a Catholic Jesuit Institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service. This Postdoctoral Fellow position is in the chemistry research group led by Dr. Ajith Karunarathne in the Department of Chemistry ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).). This work involves protein engineering and developing the cryo‑EM‑based structural biology arm of the lab, expanding molecular pharmacology and drug discovery research, assisting with the training of graduate and undergraduate student researchers, and laboratory management.
Responsibilities:
Required qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry, structural biology, chemical biology, or a related field
Preferred qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Biochemistry and molecular‑cell biology with a focus on protein engineering and signal transduction.
- Significant experience in advanced molecular cloning, protein biochemistry, and single‑cell approaches.
- Experience in structural biology, proteomics‑lipidomics, and bioinformatics is preferred.
Salary:
