Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in all operational & financial aspects of the restaurant. The Assistant Manager helps with staffing, equipment, product control, guest service & general upkeep. Business is conducted through open communication with guests, auditing & coaching team members.
DescriptionSimilar to the Position Summary, the Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in day‑to‑day operations and financial responsibilities, ensuring efficient staffing, high‑quality food preparation, and excellent guest service.
Primary Responsibilities- Supervise preparation, cooking, & serving of food with utmost concern for quality.
- Assist with weekly work schedule & crew organization for different shifts.
- Order inventory & supplies, check deliveries for accuracy, and process invoices for payment.
- Complete weekly team member payroll sheets.
- Ensure highest levels of guest service & resolve all complaints.
- Oversee store safety & implement proper sanitation practices.
- Handle cash and report all monies to corporate office.
- Provide on‑floor supervision of line production & guest service.
- Assist in hiring, coaching, training, motivating, evaluating, and terminating crew members.
- Contribute positively to company profits.
- Oversee completion & accuracy of all store reporting.
- Coach, train, & motivate the Associate Manager toward advancement.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
- Management experience in food service preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Must be available weekdays, weekends, nights & holidays as needed.
- Quick thinker with excellent problem‑solving and organizational skills.
- Professional verbal & written communication with guests, team, & vendors.
- Resourceful, innovative, enthusiastic, creative, outgoing, and passionate about success.
- Positive management style that encourages retention & promotes teamwork.
- Trustworthy, loyal, and capable of making decisions in the company’s best interest.
