Assistant Manager

Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager position to fulfill our mission statement, “to create the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for our Guests.” Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks assigned by store management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet Guests with a friendly attitude and provide legendary service.
• Recommend merchandise based on Guest needs and desires.
• Achieve personal sales-per-hour, average sales, and total net sales goals.
• Maintain and share knowledge of current sales and promotions.

Sales Generation and Guest Service

• Demonstrate product knowledge and sales education.
• Anticipate and fulfill Guest’s needs.
• Provide legendary service throughout the store.

Teammate Recruiting, Training and Development

• Recognize recruiting opportunities and coach new Teammates.
• Develop skills and assist in leading, directing, and motivating Teammates.
• Maintain a positive attitude and create a positive floor culture.

Operations

• Work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
• Understand and utilize planner, including completion of Opening and Closing Checklists.
• Watch for and recognize security risks and thefts.

Supervisory and Leadership

• Comfortable giving and receiving feedback from peers and Management.
• Supportive of Leadership and promote personal and store growth.
• Demonstrate and maintain a professional relationship with all Teammates.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related retail experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
