Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Customer Service Rep
Location: St. Louis
Overview
The Associate is responsible for completing in‑store food and non‑food demonstrations, acquiring and maintaining knowledge of products represented, preparing, serving, and breaking down product, equipment, and supplies. The Associate intercepts consumers and demonstrates products in a professional manner while maintaining an overall professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
Responsibilities- Possesses aptitude and ability to gain adequate knowledge of the products represented.
- Proactively intercepts, engages, interacts, and sells product to the consumer in a positive manner.
- Effectively communicates the features and benefits of the product.
- Prepares and serves food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers and knives.
- Maintains a clean, sterile and safe workstation using cleaning chemicals.
- Maintains a professional appearance consistent with the job requirements.
- Properly sets up and prepares event table for execution.
- Achieves 100% execution of assigned work.
- Assists with preparation for client visits and completes audit corrections.
- Builds and maintains rapport with store personnel to effectively meet company and client objectives.
- Completes expense reports as per company policy.
- Accurately prepares and submits all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
- Accesses the internet, navigates internal systems, uses Microsoft Outlook, and views assigned documents, including Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF forms.
This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company reserves the discretion to change the role based on business and/or client needs. The job description does not imply that the above functions are the only tasks that may be performed; additional job‑related instructions or tasks may be directed by management.
Qualifications- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months of related experience or training preferred; or equivalent combination. - Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in using personal computer or mobile device with applications and internal systems. - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Local food‑handler permit may be required.
- Physical Demands: Stand and walk regularly; use hands and fingers; reach overhead up to 65 inches; talk and hear; read instructions; stoop, kneel, squat, climb steps; balance; lift and carry up to 25 lbs (occasionally 50 lbs); push/pull a wheeled demonstration cart fully laden with appliances, supplies and product; prepare foods and beverages using required appliances; contact cleaning supplies.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
- Work Environment: Retail store environment, limited travel.
- Physical Appearance: Must maintain professional appearance and proper grooming; specific retailer dress code is provided in training documents.

Skills:
English is primary; bilingual skills may be required based on business necessity.
The associate will be regularly required to stand and walk throughout the shift, use hands and fingers, reach with arms, talk and hear, read instructions, stoop, kneel, squat, climb ladders, balance, and lift and pull equipment as described.
