• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff and management.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail loss‑prevention experience.
• Basic understanding of retail or security.
• Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to stand or walk sales floor for 8 hours at a time.
• Ability to lift and carry 20 lbs.
• Regular time and attendance is essential.
• Ability to work independently.
• Full understanding of Five Below policy and procedure.
• General product knowledge in key departmental areas.

• Work closely with the General Manager to ensure all employees follow policies and procedures.
• Maintain the employee entrance, where applicable, and track all packages delivered through it (excluding normal scheduled shipments).
• Conduct store physical security checks and make recommendations to prevent loss.
• Perform figure 8 patrols and remain constantly on the move throughout the store.
• Provide a visual presence at the entrance/exit with courteous and professional interaction with customers.
• Conduct safety inspections and communicate hazards to store management.
• Greet customers as a Five Below associate.
