Retail Donation Attendant

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is looking for an energetic, self‑motivated, and professional Retail Donation Attendant to join our Bayless Store team. No degree is required. High School Diploma/GED preferred. Must communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, and management, be organized, interact with a diverse work population, and possess basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

• Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assisting donors with donation drop‑off, and offering thanks, donation incentives, and tax receipt.
• Handle all donations with care and respect.
• Sort donated goods and purchased goods into categories (sales floor, seasonal, online sales, outlet, trash) per established guidelines.
• Notify management of hazardous, valuable, or inappropriate merchandise/materials being donated.
• Maintain high quality and quantity standards while working quickly and steadily.
• Stock, straighten, rotate, and maintain cleanliness of the entire store area efficiently and to standard.
• Uphold store cleanliness by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
• Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with team members and leadership, collaborating cross‑functionally to increase communication.
• Utilize safe work practices, ensuring a hazard‑free workplace by removing obstructions and keeping aisles debris‑free.
• Maintain professional appearance in accordance with MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
• Safeguard agency assets (cash, donated items, purchased items) from harm, damage, or theft; report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession.
• Adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, Goodwill Retail procedures, and safety & security regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Hourly Rate: $15.50
Bonus Pay:
Up to $250/month (Monthly Bonus)
