Q Boutique’s Associate executes day-to-day operations, processes and organizes inventory, maintains overall store appearance, and provides excellent customer service and information to guests at the World Chess Hall of Fame and Galleries. Q Boutique is a fast-paced environment that includes store-related projects when not assisting guests.
Key Responsibilities- Provide superior customer service to customers, vendors, and online shoppers
- Operate the point-of-sale system
- Receive, process, record, and report inventory
- Restock, organize, and merchandise products
- Maintain overall store appearance and cleanliness
- Communicate with customers via phone, email, digital messaging, etc.
- Prepare, log, and transport daily cash and check deposits
- Organize digital folders and files
- Update and maintain online shop products and related elements
- Fulfill and ship orders, print shipping labels, packaging, etc.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and reports
- Report to the Store Manager
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years of retail or customer service experience
Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include nights and weekends
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to operate a computer, smartphone, and related applications
- Demonstrate good judgment
- Adhere to policies and procedures
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Excellent customer service skills
- Effective communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work with a team and independently to complete tasks as directed
- Experience with Google Workplace preferred
- Experience with social media applications a plus
- Experience with store merchandising preferred
- Maintain proper personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times
- Chess interest/knowledge is a plus but not required
- Ability to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs, and stand on your feet for long periods
