Job Summary: Consider joining Metal Exchange as a Sales Manager – Aluminum Flat Rolled Products. Are you a driven sales professional with a passion for building strong partnerships and delivering exceptional value? Metal Exchange is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager for our Aluminum Flat Rolled Products segment within the Value‑Added Products team. As a master distributor serving the North American market, we specialize in providing tailored supply chain solutions to OEMs and distribution partners.

This role focuses on expanding our reach in the aluminum flat rolled space, leveraging our strategic global relationships with top‑tier rolling mills and our commitment to unmatched customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, initiate and execute the sale of products to customers through regular calls, site visits and presentations.
  • Develop and manage commercial relationships with existing and prospective customers.
  • Support the overall Business Unit strategy, develop sales strategies and target potential new customers to capture market share and maximize profit margins.
  • Work strategically to increase top line revenue through sales growth.
  • Apply sound risk management practices to provide customers with a variety of pricing options, while mitigating the associated terminal market and premium exposure, in consultation with our Risk Management team.
  • Prepare customer sales forecasts and contribute toward development of Business Unit budget and growth strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement Team. Request quotes, place purchase orders, and track order status.
  • Collect and record market intelligence from sales activities.
  • Monitor and consistently increase customer satisfaction as the face of Metal Exchange.
  • Provide detailed account of call reports, contact information, and quote opportunities to support sales & marketing programs.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of product lines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

  • 5+ years Metals Industry sales experience
  • Proven track record of consistent high performance

Other Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%, to meet customer demands and build the business.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to balance and manage multiple business development efforts.
  • Superior sales skills and customer resource management.
  • Highest level of personal and professional integrity.
  • Strong ability to analyze data to solve problems, understand technical issues and make effective decisions.
  • Enjoys customer interaction including telephone, video, and person to person meetings.
  • Self‑motivated and aggressive in pursuing and achieving objectives.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Hub Spot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be able to pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsor ships are not available.
